Meet Kenneth Caldwell

Kenneth Caldwell is a Minneapolis artist, master carpenter, and educator whose contemporary art draws from the Harlem Renaissance, the Black Arts Movement, and Hip Hop. Working in acrylic, oil, pastels, and mixed media, he creates images rooted in people, music, and emotion.

His journey in the visual arts began as a student at North High School. Today, he teaches art at Sojourner Truth Academy and leads CaldtoArt Paint Time—welcoming children and adults to explore their creativity together.

Kenneth’s work has been shown at Hopkins Center for the Arts, the Uptown Art Festival, FLOW, and galleries and community spaces across the country. His distinctive style brings his love of music into every canvas.
